I swim almost daily and once a month in the summer I film myself swimming. It helps me understand my strokes and movement and what I can do to improve both for when I swim in the winter in the large pool.

Well, I videotaped this on September 2 at 1:43 in the afternoon and when I reviewed the video a few days later I noticed something unusual.

The video is 1 minute 17 seconds long. Skip to this section when there is 18 seconds left. The event happens between -00.18 and -00.17 or 58 seconds into the video.

The red line indicates approximately where the object crosses the screen. It is a fraction of a second and looks like a golden dot. You have to be staring at the screen to see it because it is so fast and small. It is the reason I know it is not a bird or a leaf blowing by.

When I slow down the video and click through each frame, this is what the object looks like. I took screen shots. Someone probably has a better method to look at this.

The object hits the ground. The end of the video has some rays going the opposite way but I’m unsure whether that has anything to do with the object we see in these clips.

When I watched the video, which was a few days after recording, I checked the ground that it might have hit, but I see nothing there.

Looking for folks to give me their opinion of what this object was. Maybe someone has a better method to view the video and slow it down and clean it up.

I am clueless, but certainly am willing to believe it might be a UFO or an alien hanging out near my pool.
